September 29, 2019

This would be our last full day at the farmhouse, so we do a little bit of exploring and spend the rest of the day at the house.

But first, coffee and pastry to start the day...

in San Giustino, about 20 minutes from the farmhouse to visit Castello Bufalini...built in the 15th century as a military fortress and transferred to the Bufalini family around 1492 who transformed it into a family palazzo in the mid-1500s...and it's a rare example of an almost intact historical manor that preserves most of its furniture and fittings dating from the 16th to the 19th century....

On the way back to the farmhouse, we make one last stop in Citta di Castello for a gelato, and come across a vintage car show in the Piazza, for the benefit of those with intellectual disabilities....included in the car show was this....Jenni signals that it's a four-cylinder....I picked her up in my 1974 Mustang for our first date in 1975....we both know that the six-cylinder had dual tailpipes...this one has a single tailpipe...

it is definitely a '74...

then back to the farmhouse to enjoy our last evening there...
